To-Tem 11.jpg

Indecisive soul.

Laura created Totem whilst designing the Sheaf St Cafeteria bar. She wanted each light to have its own character and style and for the viewer to have a favourite, least favourite or multiple favourites. Tasked to create a light that combined shape, colour, pattern and a choice to build your own was what inspired her.

Laura is a designer that loves colour, pattern and shape. Being an indecisive soul, Laura relished the challenge and now frequently changes her mind on which Totem is her favourite.

Totem is all about a rich mix of quality ingredients sourced for their individuality and style.

Designed by Laura the wooden shapes are hand turned in Ireland, the fabric cords are chosen for their size, quality and colour from Italy, the bulbs are a decadent gem shape with a dimmable LED bulb from the US and they are hand painted/finished by Laura in the UK. Making Totem a completely unique and totally international affair.

The nature of Totem is to be able to build your own, choose from a wide range of colours and decide patterns, finishes and cord details with Laura. All designs are made to order.

In 2014 HULA was listed as one of the most iconic Habitat designs in the last 50 yrs. HULA is currently sold by Habitat in the EU and is only available direct from Laura in the UK.

Mini Hula

The Mini.

Leading on from HULA, MINI HULA  is a smaller but no less exuberant pendant light.

Created using a flat bed plotter, each piece has been individually cut and packaged into a neat solution. All of the pieces needed to build a MINI HULA are contained within the packaging, which can be popped out to build the iconic shape of HULA.

"It is a smart, beautiful, eco friendly and affordable lampshade."
